Progress!
In this post you will see some pictures of progress! You'll see week #2 with the bare necessities of a house. Plus a handsome gentlemen named Ed. He's great. He too is working on our house with C.J. aka Contractor Jay. And then week #3 shows the promise of a house that could be a place called "home". I was talking to my sister (which one you ask?....Tracey) about the whole renovation process and I couldn't help but relate it to my job. (As most of you know, I work with pediatric cardiac patients.) It just feels like my house is getting open heart surgery! There have been some major things that have come up and obstacles that have pushed back our move-in date but it is all good! It's all good because I know that it will be better when we move back in. We discovered things when the surgeons, I mean contractors, opened up the walls that would have gone otherwise undetected, unnoticed and unaddressed. Now that we KNOW what we're up against, we can fix it and make it healthy again. It's still hard and frustrating at times but I know it's for the best. But as Dorothy once said, "I just want to go home Toto".... I feel the same way.

Introduction and some "before" pictures
Welcome to our renovation blog. I thought that this would be a good place for me to be able to process this big event in our lives and to share our progress. There have been so many people that have supported us and prayed for this great event to happen and it's been at least 4 years in the making. So, here we go...
I'm going to add some pics of the progress of the house, us in the various homes that friends and family opened up to us and whatever else may seem pertinent. This posting has the "before" pictures of our kitchen and bathrooms.
Happy reading!
